

Created in collaboration with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) these online courses were developed by academics with extensive field experience, with practitioners for global health professionals.
If you would like to be considered for one of our full fee bursaries for study commencing Sept 2012 please indicate this within the funding section of the application form.
We also offer an accredited programme of Continuing Professional Development if you can’t commit to a full year of online study or would like to take a more tailored approach to your learning. At present we are offering the following 15 credit modules with each comprising 8 weeks of online learning followed by an assessment: In 2012/13 each 15 credit module will be offered at £650.

Please note:
Applicants will need to nominate a referee who will be asked to comment upon their suitability for the programme and their capacity for combining part-time study with work related duties. Please direct your referee to the online PG Certificate in Global Health reference form here. Please do not follow the guidelines for submitting references which are found in the online application process.
Applicants should provide a personal statement of no more than 350 words detailing why you wish to study this course and what you think you will bring to it. Within your statement you should include details of any prior learning undertaken within a professional context
Who can apply: This online programme has been specifically designed, and is only available to NGO workers (both in the field and office based), clinicians, and healthcare practitioners and administrators around the world.
Period of study: 1 year part-time via online fully supported distance learning
Degree awarded: Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits). Credits earned by students will be transferrable to other academic institutions under the National Recognition Information Centre scheme and will be recognized as the equivalent ECTS credits.

Deadline for entry in September 2012: 31 August 2012 though applicants are encouraged to apply earlier due to the high demand for this course.
